Super Health – Food for thought?
No one has ever questioned the importance of our brain, but what do we do to keep it functioning at it’s best I’m not talking about sudoku or mine exercises, but the food we feed our brain. To achieve super health, we need to nourish our brains too, after all, it’s also an organ.
Our brain is affected by all that we do from the foods we eat to the air we breathe. So what can we do to help make sure our brains are getting what they need too?
Feed our brains blueberries and fish.
Blueberries help protect our brain, but the fruit may also have a heart protective effect by significantly lowering cholesterol. Canadian researchers found that tests conducted on pigs fed a blueberry-supplemented diet led to a reduction in total cholesterol including LDL (the bad cholesterol) and HDL (the good cholesterol).
Fish is also another great food for us and has been touted as a popular brain food for decades.
In an article in hte British Medical Journal, it stated that French researchers have reported thatthere is a significantly lower risk of developing brain problems among older people who eat fish at least once a week. Omega 3 fatty acids are good for us.
We know our diet affects our bodies, the way we feel, and even the way our breath smells. We tend to forget the huge impact it has on our brain as well.
Take a moment to ponder, what kind of things are you putting into your body? Are you feeding yourself right so that your mind and body are getting the nutrition it needs?
Maybe it’s time for you to do some body cleansing to get your health back in shape.
