Detoxification and Apple Cider Vinegar
Just wanted to share a few quick ideas on detoxification with apple cider vinegar, ACV. ACV has tons of minerals and vitamins and is reported to facilitate detoxification of the liver. Perhaps the strongest effect comes from breaking up mucus within the body.
Did you know that mucus in your intestines can prevent nutrient absorption?!
While ACV is not a total cleanse solution, adding it to your diet is a great way to help eliminate toxins in all of your organs daily so you can work (and play) at your optimal level!
According to George DeJohn of the 21DayBodyMakeover, “Taking apple cider vinegar before meals aids digestion and improves gastric health, helping the body remove toxic waste more efficiently. When foods are digested thoroughly and waste eliminated quickly, the body is nourished and toxins are removed before they have time to do damage.”
But, make sure you get real ACV – raw liquid, unprocessed, unfiltered.
If you are going to use it daily, consider adding 1-3 tablespoons to a glass of water before each meal. Or add it to your salad dressing!
Another tempting treat, pour a cup of ACV and a cup of Epsom salts into a hot bath. This may help relieve joint pain as well as skin conditions like eczema and acne.
It’s a super simple way to add a little health to your day. Enjoy!
SOunds like great advice, I use a lot of vinegar in barbeque and cole slaw and salad dressings. I’ll have to try adding it to water…

What a great set of advice. I have been on the fence about trying ACV, having heard about it but classifying it with other vinegars in terms of making the body acid.
So much conflicting information out there. I might give it a try…I’m very experimental.

Your knowledge of detoxification goes beyond anything I have either read or heard. I will use your ACV, not sure about the taste though.

I’ve hear about ACV but have never put it to work. I love salads, vinegar and water (my favorite choice of beverage)so having multiple ways of ingesting it are good. I really enjoy reading your informative posts.

I can’t imagine what it tastes like with water. I love vinegar though, so I’ll have to try it. I am very interested in helping the liver. I hear 100% cranberry juice with water helps to detox the liver as well. Good info!

Sounds like ACV has many benefits. I think I may give it a try. Are there any potential negative side effects?
